Jack Coggins (illustrator) and Fletcher Pratt. fully illustrated boards, illustrated, lovely condition, spotless pages. corner chips, light edge wear and light soiling on back cover/spine. Subjects begin with Chinese firecrackers and cover jets used in WWII, liquid-fueled rockets, German experimental rockets, American rockets, submarine rockets, buzz bombs and rockets at work and in space. Amazing how we can get the illustrations in 1950 nearly good enough for reality 75 years later albeit still a bit futuristic
