The Shore Road Mystery ~ The Hardy Boys Stories, this book serves as a prequel to The Secret of the Caves (see separate listing). Featuring a pictorial beige tweed cloth hardcover, it is in good condition with minimal wear and tear. This c1953 edition spans 212 pages and includes orange Gretta end papers with a boy in a tree using binoculars, a yellow spine on the dust jacket with a profile of a boy in a red circle, and a frontispiece in black and white. The previous owner's signature can be found on the free end paper, and the un-clipped dust jacket (listing the first 29 HB Novels on front flap, Little Women etc on rear flap) is Fair+: extremely colorful & bright, minor fading, but with small chips at both ends of spine & all corners, larger tear and loss to top spine shows some damage but has protected the book. Internally, it lists to The Wailing Siren Mystery. Written by Franklin W. Dixon, which served as the collective pseudonym for the Stratemeyer Writing Syndicate, this book is Book No. 6 out of 33 titles. It was ghostwritten by Charles Leslie McFarlane
